Good evening, All...
Just wanted to let you all know I have added a few pages to the site. These pages let you inside my competitive mind a little bit and allow you to see what awards I am working towards and how far along I am with them. As I mentioned on my "About" page I am a "Certificate Hunter" when it comes to Amateur Radio. Want to see them? Then just click the button below!

My HAM Shack/Office is coming along nicely... Finally getting things moved back in and organized. I have ordered come connectors, crimpers, and a few other misc things so that I can relocate my coax to the other side of the office and get back on the air. I still haven't finished the floor like I wanted to do in my previous post, but that's ok. The XYL and myself think we have decided to rip up the carpet in the living room and replace it with a hardwood laminate flooring BEFORE I get to finish the flooring in my shack/office. I can agree to this...I am ready to be done with carpet in the house...EXCEPT for the bedroom...NO ONE likes waking up and rolling off the bed just to place your feet on a COLD floor...Carpet will STAY in the bedroom! [you hear that, Heather?] [I love you!!!]
And another subject....HAB001.....News on my High-Altitude Ballooning Experiment! Now that I have my workbench built and certain tools on order it is almost time for me to finally start building the PCB for the TrackUino APRS Tracking System for the HAB. I have ordered my solder, a "3rd Helping Hand", and a few other things that are due to come in any day now... I still need the 2 most expensive pieces to this experiment... The radio transmitter and GPS chip... We would also LOVE to have an extra camera or two for the project if we could afford it [or if someone decided to donate it....wink wink....]! [need a few Cannon A570IS cameras for sure and maybe a sports camera like this or a GoPro] As soon as I have an actual "update" for HAB001 I will post it and let yall know!
Until next time.....
